1. What we use

Truehouse uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics or third-party advertising scripts.

2. Cookies

truehouse_session: keeps you signed in and protects your account requests. It lasts up to 12 hours, is removed when you sign out, and cannot be read by scripts on the page (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict). Essential.

truehouse_admin: the same, for Truehouse staff signing in to the staff console; lasts up to 8 hours. Players never receive it.

truehouse_access: used only on private preview versions of the site, to remember that an access code was entered (30 days). It is not used on the public site.

3. Browser storage

Your browser’s local storage keeps a few preferences on your device: the currency used for approximate amounts (truehouse.fiat), whether you have seen your last session summary (truehouse.recapSeen), and your reality-check reminder setting. The offline demo can also save play-money data if you choose. None of this is sent to us or used for tracking.

4. Fonts

The site’s fonts are served by Truehouse itself. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font service.

5. Your choices

Because we use only essential cookies and storage, we do not ask for consent to them. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, but you will then be signed out and the site may not work properly.
